This educational webinar explored cow milk protein allergy (CMPA) and examined the potential role of goat milk–based nutrition in infant feeding. Dr. Ahmed provided an overview of the structural differences between cow and goat milk proteins and explained the underlying mechanisms of both IgE-mediated and non-IgE-mediated cow milk protein allergies. He highlighted that goat milk is not suitable for infants with IgE-mediated CMPA, while emerging evidence suggests it may be considered in non-IgE-mediated cases under appropriate clinical guidance. Early dietary exposure and its potential role in allergy prevention were also discussed.
